The ValiData 

ValiData is a fully automated barcode label applicator for labelling and relabelling tube racks. It is a completely integrated printer and application unit in one system, using a rotary Z axis motion to apply labels without requiring any adjustment between plate types or label positions. Both capped and open tubes can be processed. All labels are verified using the on-board CCD reader to ensure no unreadable labels enter the workflow. 

​​​ValiData uses a fully integrated PC running Windows 10 Pro to connect live to network LIMS systems, enabling data transfer and validation of applied labels. Individual programmable macros are stored on the PC, and the system is supplied with the Kbiosystems communication protocol API as standard. RS232 and full network connections are included. OEM label creation software is available on request. 

The unit is compatible with SBS plate types and custom holders, and works with multiple manufacturers' labware across applications. Average label cycle time is 12 seconds. ValiData requires both an electrical supply and a compressed air supply at the point of installation. 

ValiData is designed and manufactured by Kbiosystems, part of Porvair Life Sciences. It carries UKCA and CE certification.
