About the Ultravap Mistral

The Ultravap Mistral is a blowdown evaporator built for laboratories looking to optimize sample preparation within automated workflows. Its flat front profile and platform shuttle enable greater interfacing with liquid-handling robots and instruments, making it suitable for integration into automated platforms alongside other sample preparation equipment. 

Advanced head technology delivers consistent heated gas directly into each well, vial or tube at temperatures up to 80°C, ensuring reproducible evaporation across every sample position. The system is built to eliminate the risk of cross-contamination. Only the surface of the sample is heated while the bulk of the sample remains at ambient temperature, making it suitable for sensitive samples. 

The Ultravap Mistral includes an eco mode and a pause dry-down function. Built-in LED lights provide greater sample visibility. The slim, compact design is bench-friendly. Compatible sample holder height is up to 50mm. 

The unit is compatible with ANSI/SLAS standard microplate and tube/vial holder formats. A choice of needle heads is available for 12, 24, 48, 96 and 384 well positions, with a range of straight and spiral needle heads available. Needle head is not included and is ordered separately. 

Installation requires only a gas supply and a standard mains socket. The Ultravap Mistral is designed and manufactured by Kbiosystems, part of Porvair Life Sciences. It carries UKCA and CE certification.
