The Ultravap Gemini

The Ultravap Gemini is a dual-position blowdown evaporator for laboratories where samples in multiple plates or tube/vial holders need to be evaporated simultaneously. Each of its two evaporation positions is independently controlled for gas flow and temperature, giving precise control over both sides independently. Different needle heads can be set in each manifold, allowing two different sample formats to be processed at the same time. 

The Gemini can simultaneously dry two sets of up to 384 sample holders, or different needle heads can be used across the two positions to process different labware formats in parallel. Maximum temperature is 60°C and maximum flow rate is 90 litres per minute. 

The unit is compatible with ANSI/SLAS standard microplate and tube/vial holder formats. A choice of needle heads is available for 12, 24, 48, 96 and 384 well positions, and a range of straight and spiral needle heads is offered. Needle heads are not included and are ordered separately. 

Installation requires only a gas supply and a standard mains socket. The unit has a compact, lightweight design with a 321mm x 365mm bench footprint. It is simple to operate and maintain. 

The Ultravap Gemini is designed and manufactured by Kbiosystems, part of Porvair Life Sciences. It carries UKCA and CE certification.
