Fully electric microplate & tube rack sealer

The Ultraseal ePRO (formerly the eSeal) is a fully electric, fully automatic microplate and tube rack sealer. With no compressed air required, it removes the risk of cross contamination inherent in pneumatically driven sealers. Force sensors monitor and control the sealing process throughout, ensuring homogenous sealing across every plate. All settings are managed through an intuitive touchscreen interface, and the unit automatically adjusts to variations in plate height.

The Ultraseal ePRO

The Ultraseal ePRO is a fully automatic, all-electric microplate and tube rack sealer designed for high throughput processing in environments where compressed air is unavailable, impractical or undesirable. By removing the pneumatic supply entirely, the Ultraseal ePRO eliminates the cross contamination risk that compressed air powered sealers carry; a critical consideration in regulated laboratories, sensitive assay environments and cleanrooms. 

Force sensors monitor the sealing process in real time, providing closed-loop feedback throughout each seal cycle. This dynamic force control ensures the pressure applied to the plate surface remains consistent and homogenous, regardless of minor variation in plate height or film thickness. The unit accepts foil lengths between 118mm and 128mm and automatically adjusts its mechanism to compensate for plate height variation within that range. 

Compatible plate materials include polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene, CoC and CoP. A wide range of sealing films and foils is supported, including optically clear films, low temperature seals and gas permeable films. Variable seal time and sealing pressure are both user-definable via the touchscreen or through an external device, and the tool-free foil loading system simplifies consumable changeover. 

The Ultraseal ePRO is designed and manufactured in-house by Kbiosystems at our facility in Basildon, Essex, as part of Porvair Life Sciences. It carries UKCA, CE and UL certification.
