The eGecko²

The eGecko² is a fully automated barcode label applicator for SBS format microplates and Petri dishes. It is a completely integrated printer and application unit in one system, requiring only an electrical supply. The custom-designed label printer is built into the unit, and easy-swap head operation allows labels to be applied to both flat and curved surfaces with a single change. 

The eGecko² uses a fully integrated PC and connects live to network LIMS systems for data transfer and validation of applied labels. Proprietary software enables label position creation and allows the eGecko² automation to run simultaneously. OEM label creation software is supported via application card, and individual programmable macros are stored on the PC. An optional on-board verification mode prints and verifies all labels to ensure no unreadable labels enter the workflow. 

The eGecko² is designed and manufactured by Kbiosystems, part of Porvair Life Sciences. It carries UKCA and CE certification.
