Improving Microplate Sealing Consistency
The Ultraseal ePRO supports consistent microplate sealing through all-electric operation, closed-loop seal force monitoring and flexible protocol control across different plate formats.
Inconsistent microplate sealing can directly affect the reliability of laboratory data. When seal integrity varies between runs, the risk of evaporation, contamination or compromised assay results increases.
Traditional compressed air driven sealers can introduce variation through pressure changes between cycles. They may also increase the risk of cross contamination through aerosolisation. For laboratories working across polypropylene, polystyrene and CoC plate formats, consistent force application throughout the full sealing process is essential.
The Ultraseal ePRO removes compressed air from the equation. Its all-electric operation, combined with closed-loop seal force monitoring, provides dynamic feedback at every stage of the sealing cycle. This helps deliver consistent, homogeneous sealing across variable plate heights without the need for mechanical adapters.
Touchscreen control with savable protocol libraries makes it straightforward to run multiple plate formats and applications without repeated recalibration between runs. The system is also integration-ready, quieter than pneumatically driven alternatives and manufactured in-house in Basildon to the same standard trusted by global OEM partners.
When seal integrity defines data quality, the automation has to be controlled.
